Orion's Neutering & Ear Surgery

Orion was neutered and had his ears fixed yesterday. It was a huge surprise to me to find out they were keeping him overnight. Apparently, it's standard procedure at my vet's, they have a vet and techs there 24/7. I was told only male cats get to go home the day of surgery. So, needless to say, I left the vet's very teary eyed!

The vet called me last evening and said Orion went through his surgery with flying colors. He said the ears looked good, but only time will tell. Sometimes, it takes a couple of surgeries to get them to look the right way. He used laser to fix them. I can't wait to see him!

Today, I've already spoken to two of the techs there. They told me Orion is doing great, and eating. One of them said he's a really cool dog! I had to laugh! I told her, he must be behaving for you guys!

He's coming home around 3 this afternoon, and has to be kept quiet for 7-10 days! No stairs, except slowly going up to our bedroom at night. So, that means, for the next couple of days, I'm staying in the main level with him. My computer is in the basement. So, depending on how things go once he gets home, I may not be posting for a couple of days.

I'll try to sneak down here and post on how he's doing!
